Widener University’s own Sean Crook, a first-year Electrical Engineering major, has been selected as a semi-finalist for the prestigious Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (S.M.A.R.T.) Scholarship. The S.M.A.R.T. Scholarship is one STEM initiative from the Department of Defense, a part of their larger mission to, in their words, “attract, inspire, and develop exceptional STEM talent across the education continuum to enrich our current and future DoD workforce to meet defense technological challenges.” The associated benefits of the S.M.A.R.T. Scholarship are numerous and have the potential to open myriad doors of opportunity for recipients.

LONE BRICK THEATER COMPANY’S METAMORPHOSES REVIEW

I had the pleasure of attending Lone Brick Theater Company’s Metamorphoses. This play ran from March 26th to April 2nd in Latham Hall. Lone Brick Theater is an off campus theater company that allows for current Widener Students, Alumni, Staff, and community members to put on a play a semester.

C.R.E.W. stands for the Committee Responsible for Enhancing Widener. The C.R.E.W. Leaders are students who are selected through a competitive application process that represent all cross-sections of the Widener Pride. Their primary role is to assist the Office of Student Engagement in our Pride Experience Programs in June and August.
